The Fallen Trooper Memorial finally installed in Salem, Oregon on the Capital mall in Summer 2016 by Jason Jones and a small team of talented men and women. The stones had been quarried in 2013 and brought to my studio in Portland as you see below. The process of fabricating these giant pieces of basalt took years more than was planned. This was the most difficult and challenging responsibility I've ever encountered. I am proud of the strong result my team accomplished and look forward to sharing with the public the richness of the material and the drama of the work.

I want to make unique, complex and beautiful works of art that have life and inspire thought and a deep emotional response from the viewer. I am constantly pursuing that aim through intensive studies in life drawing and clay modeling. I hope you find my work meaningful and that you come back often to check in on what's been done.
